Wando-gun, South Jeolla is 

looking for workers for seaweed harvesting and drying (schedule negotiable) after the 

beginning of May. 

Working Conditions 

Nationality: South-East Asia (such as Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, etc.) 

**Some proficiency in listening to/speaking Korean** 

Work Conditions 

**Accommodation provided** 

40-45 days on average depending on weather conditions- if there is a prediction of 

rain, the day will be a day off 

Daily wage: 140,000 won for men, 120,000 won for women 

05:00~12:00 (men) 

07:00~12:00 (women) 

14:30~18:00 

Work schedule (morning) 

Male workers: go out on a boat to harvest the seaweed and return 

Female workers: manage seaweed dried on land the previous day 

Afternoon 

Gathering of dried seaweed from the previous day, and 

Drying the harvested seaweed on land 


Please take note that this is work conducted outdoors. 

Additionally, as male workers will be going out on a boat, 

there is no danger but those with motion sickness may find it difficult.
